[rita's just sitting on the floor somewhere. there are chairs here, but this is just a floor kinda day. she takes the cup and stares into it, looking pretty deflated.]
It's only been a few weeks. I don't expect everybody to know everybody else. [and still...he knew lila and liked her well enough, so this isn't great.]
It just confirms what we thought though. We really don't have a say in anything when it gets to that point.
The extra credit, right? [yamato maybe told him a lot...] What a pain...sure, fine, it's extra but I still think it's dumb people have to do extra work to get answers we should have in the first place.
You could tell them what Yamato told me and that it's that the dorm heads get more information the more extra credit we do. They don't have to know it's also helping you get even more information.
[he does not think to mention it could be that he's just a little oblivious to that kind of thing.]
It's not like he used me for extra credit, and I didn't tell him that I used him for one of mine. [haha.] I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that if it gets people to do it more. Then you can work it out with whoever to do it without telling anybody.
How do you think Claude got the couch for his in the first place? He just asked Caiman to let him in.
[well, the good news is rita's mood seems to have improved, in her own rita way. now she's back to being grumpy instead of sulky, and that's better(?)]
Oh, right. I wanted to ask, how many vouchers did you get for the week?
So that's another one. That accounts for four...someone told me that voting correctly gets you at least one, too. And that adds up right from what I understand.
no subject
Well... I don't think we can do much worse.
no subject
That's true, too. [they could, but he's not going to say that.] But I don't think any of us could've predicted today if we tried.

[she holds the coffee up to her face and takes a small, experimental sip.]
Yamato talked to you already, right?
no subject
[the coffee is extremely sweet. and taichi eventually stops being coy.]
But if you mean about the honor society thing, yeah. He told me. Are you okay?
no subject
she nods.]
... I'm fine. It's not like I was friends with that girl or anything.
no subject
It just confirms what we thought though. We really don't have a say in anything when it gets to that point.
no subject
Well, yeah. The whole thing's a farce.
Viola better find something good for us, 'cause I don't know how much longer we can play along with this crap.

[a sigh...] And then it'll be back to trying to help somebody, again.

[bless yamato, maybe now rita has someone else to complain to about this]
It's not easy to go around offering to help people while trying not to sound like a weirdo.

That jerk, I wish he'd mentioned it sooner...

I'm trying to figure out how the heck that adds up.

Two tasks. I went with the "tell a lie" thing, since this secret society crap made that sort of inevitable. Then I did one extra credit.
no subject
Extra credits are two vouchers each. Tasks are one, I think. Did you talk to Chad or any of the dormheads at all? Besides Viola.
no subject
I talked to Chad.
... Technically Sally too, if that counts. Haven't said a word to Luke.
