... I'm wondering if they operate like we do. [well, taichi's not technically part of 'we', but he's in the loop enough that he might as well be.] One target each week... and one opportunity to recruit a new member.
If my model is correct, then the new members always kill on the week they're recruited. And they would have had the opportunity to bring someone new into their fold since last week.
That's about what I figured, too. [and he may as well say it.] And that's why I'm not entirely confident it's not somebody from Spring. It would fit the pattern and...it's just a theory I have based on some stuff. I'm not entirely confident about that either.
It would make sense though, right? Yamato told me initially that there were six of you with special jobs. You guys added two, but since Rupert was killed they would have had a slot to recruit. They'll likely have another slot now because Byleth's gone. The thing is though that so far the pattern has also been that they kill in rounds of twos. Rupert killed Lan Wangji and Bradley. Byleth killed Bradley and Crow. Byleth most likely had an accomplice who helped kill Crow, so that accomplice is either responsible for Wang Lu or Byleth herself. It would then be the accomplice from last week--why am I pretending you don't know who it is? Anyway they'd be another pair.
That's if it's four versus four and we don't just have random people doing...whatever out there.
I don't know. She would've had a partner to compensate for her weakness. Might've made her sloppy enough to leave some more damning evidence than last time, though.
... That said, I was kinda surprised there weren't three bodies today.
We'll go back and check the locations tomorrow. Bodies first, then we work our way out just like always.

Between you and me, I was kind of surprised, too. But maybe there can only be two at the same time for some reason? Like how it's always two people who wake up outside.
We pick three to four names and give them to Vi-- Iris. Then near the end of the week, she lets us know which one was approved, and we can go invite them to join us. If they agree, they can start attending our meetings from Monday onward.
I assume people can't have more than one "role," so if we accidentally picked someone like that, their name probably got tossed in the trash. Don't know what other criteria is used, though.
They get to know about us, with the usual stipulation that if they blab to an extra person, we face the consequences. So it's kind of like getting to tell one extra person during the week.
We wouldn't get to select another candidate until the following week, though.
To my knowledge, yes. If their group works the same way, then they could have started this week with four members: Otome, Byleth, Luxanna, and one new person.
Even if they lost members, they wouldn't get to recruit any more until next week.
If their recruitment works like yours then we should be thinking of who the known members would want to bring on board. That might help us narrow down who their next member is.
I thought about that, too. They seem to have a lot in common. So we should be looking at... I don't know, adults, protective sorts, people who can be trusted to keep a secret?
You guys make your pick to investigate in the middle of the week, right? We have a few days to gauge everybody and see if anyone's acting unusual. So it's worth taking the time.
The results come in the middle of the week, but we choose on Monday, so it has to be pretty quick. We'll still have the weekend to think about it, though.

I'm guessing Yamato shared the results of this week's investigation, yeah? I should probably just assume he tells you everything. [mildly annoyed!]

...you think blinding her stopped her?

He told you about that too, right? What we were going to do.

Is four the max amount you guys are allowed to have? It'd give us an idea about the killer group, I think.

Guess we'll just have to keep an eye on them, and think carefully about next week's investigation.
