I have nothing against Claude.

However, I consider myself a deeply loyal person.

A reason that things have to happen like this? I can't wrap my head around one, but it is a possibility I've considered.

It's something we must be aware of as a possibility. Better not to be blindsided by something we hadn't so much as considered.

You're not wrong. [this is said firmly and certainly.] If a person feels like it's the only option, especially if it's for the greater good, they might do it and decide the consequences are worth it.

But it's like I asked somebody else. How would we then decide what deaths are or are not justified? If any.

... In this hypothetical situation, we would have two options.

The first, to know all the details. To know what rules people must follow and why, and judge their actions on necessity.

Or the second. Without information - to trust one another to make the best decision available to them.

It's the trusting thing that I think is going to be trouble for some people here.

I have been doing my best to keep people from panicking, but there are only so many deaths they can watch before my words will ring hollow.

Playing baseball seems pretty tasteless after last week. But summer dorm had a movie night last week. Really lowkey and easy and a good excuse to relax for a few hours and take our minds off of everything.

Right... I know that poor Caiman was quite desperate to play, but... Perhaps we'll give it more time.

Movies don't sound like a bad idea, though I don't think I can organize such things, unfamiliar as I am with the options. Still. I will keep it in mind.

I mean it doesn't have to be exactly that. Luke said that even with sports and stuff shutting down when it gets colder there's a lot to do around campus.

[...and, he figures he might as well tell her.] I don't mind organizing stuff for the dorm. I can't promise I'll be good at it, but I can try.

Perhaps he will move on to a new fixation, then.

We aren't a difficult bunch to bring together, at least.

Even with those superlatives people showed up out of curiosity. If we offer something with free food and give them something to do instead of being stuck thinking about how miserable things are, that should be good enough.

People are naturally drawn to one another. Even those who might deny it.

If there is something fun to be done, people will show up.

Let's see what happens tomorrow and we'll see if we can plan something together. Deal?
