Are they wrong about that?

Whether Byleth and her accomplice are killing for good reason or not, there's... [ she sighs. ] No knows enough to be sure of that. Someone has to be voted for, and no one wants someone innocent to be sacrificed instead of a known killer.

They're not wrong. That's what the other person and I agreed on, too. We can't keep losing innocent people. [but? he tries to think this through.]

But what's wrong with wanting to know more before we lose the chance to try and understand what's going on? Maybe protect isn't the word I want, but I want to know how to make things right again.

Mm. I won't say that we were lucky we had Caiman to vote for instead. I don't want to call any of what he did to the people I care for "lucky." But with him gone, if the only killers are Byleth and her accomplice... The correct choice will be to vote for them.

... But you're right. I want to know more, too, so... I hope that you find them.

Then we'll have to do our best to find them. That's a Saturday problem though. Until then, I'll do what I can to make the most of the time we've got.

We're going to be better off if we share all the information we can with one another. Hopefully everyone here realizes that.

I should hope so. People are buying documents from the dorm heads and sharing that information, and I've been trying to show people the paper we got while we were gone. Even if it's all the same, it's better to know.

Those papers feel like they're useless.

Still better to show them and share them, of course, but... I can't find anything useful in them.

He showed up at the end with a key to fight the monster, but he pointed us in the right direction to unlock the door and get out. I don't know. I feel like Riku would probably have an explanation but I'm too tired to ask.

Perhaps a little time to rest before interrogating him over it. Though I am curious.

We're being led around by bears and mice... [ haha.....]

Yeah, I'm not going to ask him right away now that we know he's more lucid and himself, but...I have to wonder if there's something there.

I don't mind being led around by creatures like that, but I feel like we're actually getting dumber sometimes.

... I think that we are overthinking some things. But that isn't the same as being dumb. If anything, it's impressive.

That's a very generous way of thinking about it, I guess. [hah.] I do agree we're overthinking some stuff though. Now it's just about figuring out what is what.

I'm worried, and afraid. For Byleth, and of course, for everyone else too.

But there is still new light being shed. More and more, the longer this goes on.

...when we were gone, we had to fight a lot of things. And this voice was guiding us. One of the first things it said to us was..."It's time to protect what's important to you. The darkness is strong, but don't turn away from the light. It'll guide you in the right direction."

I want to think that it was a message about what to do here. So maybe you're right.

... I'm an Illuminator. Or - I was. So I will always believe in my light.

It's a comfort to hear such things.

Even if you're not an Illuminator here I don't think that means you aren't anymore. It's...important to remember that kind of stuff anyway.

I don't think I am back home anymore. I don't know. It's - complicated?
