While I think it's important for you to believe in yourself, that's definitely not the way to do it. That's not how that lesson should've been taught.

Claude would never do that to you, at least. The real one. Have you talked to him about all of this?

[ honestly she doesn't know for sure that claude wouldn't do that to her, if it was choice he had to make between her and something more important ]

I know. I know that! But the other--- Edualc..... aside from trying to kill me, he acted exactly like Claude. He said things Claude said to me. He even hugged me at the end... and it felt just like.... [ regular claude hugs, except she was terrified he was going to finish her off ]

And all of that was to teach me to believe in myself? I'm supposed to believe in myself after all that?!
