[well that was a disaster! all of it! like yes, okay, they got the right guy (one of them...) but at what cost? they cut it close as usual but...well. at least they aren't losing an innocent person this time.

speaking of innocent people, when taichi enters the cafeteria it's with the idea of just aimlessly wandering. he's not exactly interested in food (though then again he could eat, he guesses) and he's not entirely devoted to finding things. but that doesn't stop him from noticing he isn't alone, so he approaches denji with a short lift of his hand in greeting.]

[yes that's definitely how you greet someone who was a murder suspect a few hours ago. good job.]

[he shakes his head and pulls out the chair next to him, which has the chainsaw on it—he takes it off and sets it on the floor so taichi can sit

it looks like Denji already scarfed whatever main meal he had, but there's still a sizeable plate of fries he's picking at, which he motions taichi towards]

[he eyes the chainsaw briefly before he has a seat, reaching forward to steal a few fries with a nod of thanks.]

Think so. I'll have'ta see if I can get any oil for cleanin' it. But it didn't smell like blood or whatever so it's probably fine.

You could probably buy some from one of the dorm heads if you can't find anyway. Doubt it'd cost you much.

Sieghart was one of the people I liked most in Spring before I switched. Bradley was in Fall but I didn't know him that well. So, I guess maybe it was like the kind of friends where you talked but you weren't really that close. [a beat.]

What about you and Rupert? You guys are both in Winter...are you friends?

[a little later...denji will receive a visitor who has mostly calmed down from everything that just happened. oh my god did he get to keep pochita, HIS POOR DOG. but regardless he enters the room and gives him a slight nod of a greeting.]

[pochita is here! denji's leaning back in a chair with his feet up on a desk, just cuddling pochita and looking out the window]

Oh, hey, dude. Yeah, pull up a chair.

[he will do that! he also sets down a plate with a couple of slices of pizza on it.]

In case you're hungry later. You've probably still got a bunch of snacks, but pizza's always good. Easy to eat even if it's cold.

[he just starts in on those slices, but he does hold one out to taichi as well]
