he's trying and failing to clear his mind after that trial, which means he's wandering around - and when he happens across taichi in the field, he raises a hand in greeting.]
[everything is awful! but when taichi looks away from the ball he's kicking around and spots rupert he waves right back before wandering over to him. the ball is kicked in the same direction, little by little ahead of him.]
Maybe we can remind people to stay on task. I don't know if it'll be that simple, but... With the biting and everything, it just... It seems like we could have gotten more done.
Last week it was a bear. This week it was the bites that...we really could have talked about later. I'm starting to wonder if stuff like that is happening on purpose so we don't have a good chance of getting ahead while we can.
Depends on what it is. But I would hope not. [he frowns in thought.] There's a lot of us, so if we have at least enough people that can get everyone back on track and offset the people derailing us, maybe we'll have better luck.
I don't know. Maybe we spent too long on the geese, or we didn't use our time efficiently with the checking we did by looking at something longer than something else. But I can't say for sure.
Yup. It's...important to think about, but at the same time I don't know if it's going to help us to get too caught up in thinking what went wrong this time instead of focusing how to get it right next time.
[there's a frown.] But I also think we're allowed to think about it and be pretty pissed for a couple of days.
Right. So we just... regroup and figure out how to make it count next time.

I don't think it's ever a bad thing to be angry about people getting hurt. We can stay that way for as long as it takes to make it out of here. It's better than not caring, right?
It's better than not caring, yeah, but at the same time...we can't let it be the sole focus. People can stay angry if that's what motivates them, but it also means they have to be careful not to let it be the thing that consumes them.
[he takes a second to think it over, but then he nods.]
Yeah, it does. If people get too angry... They're going to lash out, and we all really need to stick together and work as a group to make it out of here as fast as we can.
Exactly. If people are angry there's a higher chance of us pointing fingers at the wrong person and screwing up the same way we just did. That's the last thing I want.
w1, saturday.

So. That was impressively bad, wasn't it?
[the tone is light, but he's still big mad.]

[he's - still angry, still upset, but he tries to calm down a little bit.]
We need to... find a way to coordinate better next time, or - something. There has to be something.

[annoying!!!]
The problem is there's so many of us it's hard to get organized. One thing gets said and we derail everybody for hours. It's insane.

What do you mean? Is there a part we shouldn't have looked at so closely?

If that makes sense.
